Qualifications

Hampton Tedder Technical Services (HTTS) was founded in 1972. Since that time we have successfully completed over one hundred million dollars in testing projects. Our work force consists of over 50 employees across California, Nevada and Arizona. HTTS is a Union (IBEW) Independent Electrical Testing and Engineering Company. We are fully qualified to perform all phases of Maintenance and Testing. Specializing in NETA Certified Field Testing, Emergency Repair, Engineering Studies, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of; Power Plants, Hospitals, Data Centers, Switchyards, Substations and Electrical Distribution Systems. We regularly provide services up to 500KV.

Hampton Tedder Technical Services is a Certified Full and Founding Member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA). NETA’s Acceptance and Maintenance Testing specifications for Electrical Power Distribution Equipment and Systems are nationally and internationally recognized. NETA is an approved ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standard. Full NETA certification is the highest level of competency achievable by an independent testing agency.

Our Registered Professional Electrical Engineers collectively have over 100 years of experience in performing Short Circuit/Coordination Studies and Electrical Distribution Design and Modifications.  Working hand in hand with Field Installation Crews allows our engineers to design Systems that are built to last, easy to install, accessible for maintenance, and all within budget.

Our NETA Certified Test Technicians have passed the NETA Certified Test Technician Examination and qualifications criteria.  They have been engaged on a full time basis; Testing, inspections and Maintenance of Electrical Power Systems for more than ten (10) years and have a minimum of 6,000 hours of electrical hands-on technical testing and maintenance experience. They are indeed Journeyman Testmen. Several of our NETA Certified Technicians are Electrical Engineers, and many of our Testing Engineers are retired utility company testmen with 30 years experience each.

We have over $1,000,000 in inventory of the most sophisticated, State-of-the-Art, Test Equipment in the Industry.  We have invested over $100,000 annually for the last several years purchasing Partial Discharge Analysis Equipment, High Current Test Sets and Computer Driven Relay Test Sets among other test equipment. We can test all Electrical apparatus with greater accuracy in less time. Our Test Equipment has a Maintenance & Calibration Program whose accuracy is directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Up-to-date records are kept, showing date and results of calibration and posted on our test equipment apparatus.
